Mr. Joshua Fallik is an exceptionally gifted teacher. His love of drawing and painting is infectious and his method of teaching encourages anyone to learn, whatever his/her stage in life. He communicates very clearly to his students concepts of drawings, painting and artistic anatomy which forms the foundation of seeing and drawing the human body and good design.
Works of Michelangelo, Rubens, Rembrandt, and many others provide a vast source of excellent examples of what one should emulate and the justification for solving a given problem. These works are discussed using drawings and paintings of these Masters as learning illustrations. These discussions reinforce the teachings that you acquire when being involved in drawing/painting building so to speak on the teaching of these Masters.
One begins to integrate a holistic understanding of all these disciplines and develops a technique on how to view the human anatomy or the still life and how to draw / paint it.
Having taught in sciences for 37 years and having been involved in drawing and painting for the last 50+ years, I can say without reservation that he is the best art teacher that I ever had.
